A12 Started Distorting

A12 Started Distorting

After a year of flawless performance, one of my two A12s is distorting. It's bad enough so I can't record with it, but not super distorted.

Gain seems identical to good A12.
Problem doesn't follow Op Amps, cables or mics.

What should I start measuring?

Verify power supply voltages.

Re-flow solder joints.

Don't know how/why, but the distortion stopped occuring and the unit is working well now.

I'm suspecting a bad cable I didn't thoroughly vet. Bad boy! No biscuit.

prolly sumthin in yer chain was bad. I've had (4) A12's (as well as 4 N72 and 2 C84) for a long time now and they work flawlessly day after day after day.
