Trasformers for the J99

Postby Andy P » Fri Dec 30, 2005 12:53 pm

Hello everyone,

My name is Andy, I'm from Italy and this is my first post. I'm considering purchasing 2 J99 kits and I'm wondering if the transformers that I already have would fit ok. They are Lundahl LL1538's (input) and LL1539's.

Thank you,

Andy

Anyone? Can I use the transformers I already have? I need to know before I place an order as shipping insured to Europe is expensive. Plus, for what I understand, SCA charges 25 USD for "international handling". I'm not an electronic engineer and I would appreciate your help.

The LL1538 will work fine, but it does not have high level, low frequency distortion specifications as good as the LL1538XL. The LL1539 can be wired to work correctly and actually requires less room than the CMOB-2H, but mechanically it is quite different and will be difficult to mount to the circuit board.
