a12, distortion and noise

i build the a12 today, and felt pretty confident with it, all the solder joints looked good. i fired it up got the trimpots reading 18 +- . so i fired it up and tried doing some vocals through it.

it sounds pretty good so far at low volumes. when i try and crank it up i still get signal but its this extreme distored sound, like it;d auto tuned someone using a vocoder


how do i fix this?

Did you make any progress with this? What is the DC voltage at the output of the op-amp (pin 6)?
