A12 and C84 reviews coming soon!!

I feel an obligation to do reviews of the A12 and C84 since there is an extreme shortage of them, and no one had anything to say when I asked for opinions or descriptions. I'll be receiving my kits tomorrow and will put them together this weekend and let you guys know what I think. I love my N72 and am very interested to see how these compare and contrast.

Well, I just got the A12 up and running. I have to say, I like it as much as my N72 if not more. Then again, I only had the opportunity to try it on bass and vocals. The A12 has a more glassy, less dark sound than the N72, also less bassy, which is a good thing for certain applications. I can already imagine how it sounds on guitar. The thing that I like, and was worried about was the ability to drive the gain to get some crunchiness going on, but it turned out not to be a problem. I really like the crunch and bite that it has. With the N72 the gain smooths out into a nice fat saturation, with the A12 you get more of a crunchy thing in the upper mids. I will try more with it tomorrow and over the weekend, but I was excited so I had to put something up tonight.
