Partially Lifted Pad, And Other Problems!

Postby ghetto3jon » Mon Apr 14, 2008 7:50 pm

while re-moving and re-installing Q1 and Q2 on my A12 (they were in backwards), i partially lifted one of the pads for Q2. i was able to make the solder, but it ain't pretty...it appears only half of the lead was soldered to the board (because there is only half a pad). but my multi-meter tells me that the connection is made...

so anyway, when i powered on with the backwards Q1 and Q2 (for about 5 seconds), i cooked R33. another is coming in the mail (i'll be able to fully test it when it arrives), but i'm wondering...could i have damaged the transistors (or anything else) by powering up with them installed the wrong way round, and should i be concerned about my "half-pad" issue?
