yes, you need a chassis and a power supply, also a wire harness is very reccomended.
The modules are installed inside the chassis (up to eight) and are powered by the supply through the wire harness.
all of ths stuff is sold by SCA.

hope this helps.

In saying YES, it is useless, I assume you are not a tech-head.
Of course you can build a power supply to give proper alimentation to your N72, but that takes big electronics knowledge (something i don't have) and puts you on your own regarding assistance from Tim.

The chassis and power supply from SCA are top notch. They are worth the money.

I will also add in here that the kits and the chassis/power supply/harness are all top notch products and a great investment. Once you have the chassis set adding more modules, like the N72's, becomes very cost effective... but the main thing here is the quality of the products.. and of course.. THE SOUND!

I did a lot of research myself before buying the N72 'Neve' type modules. These seem to be actually the most authentic reproduction available and include the British Carnhill output transformer for the closest thing to an original Neve transformer currently made, as far as I know at least.

I bought 3 N72's originally and plan to buy more. These are killer. If you're looking for that vintage 'Neve' sound... you've found it here.
