Wrong resistors?

Postby tazman » Sat Dec 22, 2007 7:46 am

R18, R19, etc. The BOM says 1M00. The ones i my kit match as far as color and qty, but they all ready about 260K.

Is this right?

Thanks,

Rob

If the color code is right then it's almost certainly the right resistor, and something is wrong with your measurement.

Let me guess--are you touching both leads of the resistor while measuring the resistance? Your body probably has lower resistance than the resistor itself, and you'd be in parallel with the resistor being measured.

The other possibility is that your meter has poor accuracy at high resistances, which isn't completely out of the question.

You also need to measure them before you solder them into the circuit.
