I ordered two 990C op amps from John on 1/3/07. He indicated it would be a couple weeks or so before he could ship them as he was just finishing up a batch of 19 and was waiting on some parts for the next batch. I live in western Michigan, so shipping time shouldn't amount to more than a day or two.
Over the past week I have emailed twice and phoned twice (leaving VM messages) and have not heard a peep from John Hardy Company. I'm concerned. He was such a nice chap to talk to when I phoned in my order. Does anyone know if he's OK; or if anything else is going on there in Chicago?

Odd.. I phoned him and placed an order sometime in December and nothing happened. He said it was gonna take a couple weeks... Haven't phoned him back yet as I'm a bit short on cash at the moment anyway.

I've found him a bit slow to respond sometimes, but he ultimately comes through, and it's worth the wait.

I also had some dealings with him, as I had to purchase two sets of 990cs. Both orders each arrived within five days as promised. One 990 was bad, however, so I returned it for him to try and determine if the unit was faulty or whether or not I had screwed it up. The started a process similar to yours where I kept getting the "next week" response. It took nearly three months and probably five or six emails and phone messages before he finally came through. In the end, he replaced the unit for free, but it sure took a lot of energy on my part.

I sent an order for 8 opamps, together with my credit card number, some months ago.
No response, no opamps... ???

Got my 2 990c's from John a few days ago. Sounds like he made a batch of 60. Sounds like things are back on track at Hardy. Thanks John!

One of the Hardy op-amps was bad so I had to send it back. Tim diagnosed the problem in a couple of minutes with a couple pertinent questions.

Got the 990C back a couple of days ago and my J99 is up and running and sounds great.
