No signal passes...just alot of high freq noise.

Postby packagebear » Wed Jan 24, 2007 8:50 pm

Hi,

I just finished my 1st J99( i have 8 A12's, 2 N72's as well)
I did all the end tests and adjustments but alas I'm getting no signal to pass through the pre at all. I only get a high freq static noise.
I'm using the AD797's.

Any ideas on what to try? I'd appreciate it.

thanks

Did you install the correct parts at C21, C22, R27 and R39?

It's hard to see from the photo, but I think you have the jumper on the wrong pins at J1 and J2. Is it shorting the pins closest to the input transformer? If not, it should be.
