Dialing in my J99

So, for some reason I overlooked the step in the instructions that walks you through dialing in the two internal trim pots (I think that's what they are called) for maximum headroom. Well, I've already got everything assembled and racked up and now I'm wondering if I need to open my chassis back up and finish that last bit of tweaking. My question is this: Is the only difference that I'll see going to be a slight (or not so slight) decrease in available headroom? To be perfectly honest, I'm really quite happy with the way it sounds now, but if tweaking those pots will make a noticeable difference, then I'm certainly willing to do it.

Thoughts?

You must adjust the regulators to have reasonably symmetrical voltages. The 990Cs will work fine with supply voltages anywhere from +/-15v to +/-24v. The higher the voltage, the higher the maximum output before clipping.
