A12 Questions

One of the caps is labeled 220J COG100 - I need a COG50 and the kit did not come with one. Is this critical?

Also, regarding the jumpers in L1 and L2, is it just a single jumer from one end to the next? L1 seems to have other leads underneath that and I'm not sure what to do there.

Thanks!

220J is the value, 22pF. COG100 specifies the max voltage. Since it exceeds the required voltage (50), if it fits, it's OK.

Yes, the jumpers for L1 and L2 just get connected at the ends. I'd use an insulated wire, so it doesn't touch any through-holes underneath. (actually, what I did was to install the optional Jensen parts there). I bought mine from Jensen, but you can also find instructions on the Jensen site for how to make them yourself, with a resistor and some coil wire.

Cool. Sounds good.

What part exactly goes into L1 and L2? A couple of coils? Do you have a link to the site? Why did you install them?

Thanks,
Sig

Do I just use the 0 ohm resistors for L1 and L2? I have some insulated buss wire but realized it's too thick. Seems to make sense that it would work.

Thanks,
Sig

That's what the 0 ohm resistors are for.

The optional L1 and L2 are called 'load isolators' by Jensen. They are resistors with a coil wrapped around them. They're only necessary when the output is driving a capacitive load, such as a VERY long cable, like hundreds of feet.

I installed them 'cuz they're cool, and harmless.

How much? And did you buy them direct from Jenson?

Thanks.

As it says above, 'I bought them from Jensen.' They're about $5 each - I think you can buy them from John Hardy, also.
