The terminals on my front panel lamp appear to be labeled for polarity, but the white paint is near what's labeled as the negative terminal. How should I wire this up?

Whichever way works. The good news is that you can't hurt LEDs by wiring them backwards (they just won't light up that way.) I had it backwards on my first chassis.
