Screw Misalignment

Postby phatmateo » Wed Mar 05, 2008 7:26 pm

Anyone else having trouble getting the top portion of the chassis to screw on correctly? I cant get all the holes to line up and I ended up stripping one of the screws while trying to screw it in. I ended up just leaving 2 of the screws out. It works fine as it is, but its still frustrating...especially for $300. I really dont want to try bending the sides of the chassis to get them to line up correctly.

Did you try rotating the top plate 180 degrees. I recall trying to put mine on backwards once and some of the screw holes didn't align.

You cant really put it on backwards. Theres a lip on the top cover that buts up against the front panel. I did have 1 screw that didnt line up correctly on the top panel but all the others lined up. I ended up just leaving that one off.

yeah, I definitely didnt put it on backwards because of the lip. Good to hear someone else had the same problem besides me. I love the pres and wanted everything to be perfect haha. I get more of a sense of pride that way :)
