PS03 and C84 problem

Postby biscente » Wed Oct 27, 2010 1:26 pm

I have a PS03 with 2 x n72 and a J99 working for almost 2 years.
I recently bought 2 x A12 and 2 x C84 from a guy at Gearslutz.
Now I´m running PS03, N72 x 2, J99, A12 x 2, C84 x 2 in that order.
The problem is when they are all wired, the power turns off after 15 seconds and after a few seconds it turns on again.
I tried to unplug one by one and I found the problem is in the C84´s.
When they are both plugged the power turns off and when it´s only one plugged (whatever it is) both work perfect.
When they are all plugged I have to unplug one of the C84 to keep all of them working.

Any idea?

Thank you

Is the chassis mounted in a rack? Do you have enough room to allow for air flow through the chassis?

Flat on a table may be worse. What happens when you allow for air flow through the chassis from bottom to top?

Does the power pulse on and off repeatedly, or does it pulse once and then remain on?

You'll need to remove the power supply and replace a capacitor. Contact support@seventhcircleaudio.com for details.
