Dumb question about LED on front panel

I just finished building my kit and the LED Power lamp takes a little bit of time to turn off when I shut it off. The LED's on the PS pcb shut off right away....it's just the lamp on the front panel sort of fades out and eventually goes dark on power off. It happens with or without a module connected. Is this normal?

All the voltages checked out on my n72 and I get to see how it sounds tonight. AWESOME kit, was a lot of fun to put together.

Yep, it takes a few seconds for the power supply caps to discharge. If you put a voltmeter across the power supply rails, you can see that it takes awhile to go to zero. It ought to fade faster with a bunch of cards hooked up, since there will be a bigger load through which to discharge.

What dkatz said. The LEDs on the PS03 itself only turn on when the output voltages are within a narrow range. As soon as the voltages start to drop, they go out. The front panel lamp is connected to the -30v rail, so it dims as the output filter caps discharge.
