Rev 1.6 BOM and Discrepancies

Alright, I've got two slight mismatches b/w the BOM and the parts I have. I assume these are typos, because the only other explanation is that I'm not thorough in my cross-checking (a conclusion I'd like to avoid). This isn't a big deal, but I just want to be sure of my kit before building.

R18 on both of my kits calls for a Green-Blue-Black-Gold resistor where I only have a green-blue-gold-gold. I assume the BOM is incorrect, because it calls this a 5R6 resistor, which is green-blue-gold-gold.

Also, on both kits, R70 and R71 are called 150 ohm Brown-Green-Black-Gold, where all I have left after checking all my other resistors is two brown-green-black-black-brown resistors. Wouldn't both of these color codes be 15 ohm, not 150?

So, my question: should I use the resistors I have? Are they the correct ones, or is the BOM correct?

That's correct.

Looks like the resistors are right, and the BOM has a typo. 1% resistors (with the extra stripe) will have a different value for the same multiplier color. Brown-green-black-black is 150 x 10^0, or 150 (whereas brown-green-black would be 15 x 10^0, or 15.)

But all of this would be academic with a DMM; you can get a usable one for really cheap. This is helpful when you have color codes that are valid when read in either direction (since the tolerance stripe is brown on the 1% resistors.)

Thanks so much. I looked on the net to learn about this five-stripe color coding, but nowhere told me about the change in multiplier colors. Now I know.

I would have used my DMM, but I am nowhere near it currently. While away from home for the next couple days, I knew I would have downtime so I decided to use it to cross-check my parts with their BOMs before picking up the soldering iron when I get back.

So, it looks like the resistors I have are all good to go then, eh? Thanks again.

R20, 21 and 22
These 3 resistors are 1K00, R22 is not on the BOM, just wondering if it is 1% metal film or .1% as in R20 and R21.

It is not like R21 and R20, it is a blue resistor with five bands (1%). At least that is what I found in the two C84 kits that I built today. You should find this unmentioned resistor in your kit after sorting through all the others.
