C84 circuit behavior interest and solo PCBs?

Postby orbitage » Wed Sep 08, 2010 12:02 am

I have built N72s, A12s, J99s and C84s and love them all, but I am most intrigued by the C84's. They sound so absolutely wonderful and yet have no iron and use opamp chips! In my quest to better understand the circuit (it really is quite different to what Im used to) I found this thread: http://www.seventhcirclestudios.com/SCA ... .php?t=332

This has some links to some pdf documents about the C84, but the links are broken. Do you have working links that I could check out?

Secondly, I am interested in building some modded custom C84s. Using the core of the circuit but breaking out with some extra fruit and using some very high end capacitors. As such it would be ideal to be able to buy just the C84 circuit board for hacking purposes. Do you offer the PCB's on their own?

You can think of the C84 as a sort of modified instrumentation amplifier. Have a look at: http://leonaudio.biz/cohen.htm

Nope.
