Impedance Selection?

Postby Ken Schumacher » Thu Jun 19, 2008 1:06 pm

The C84 specifications indicate you can select different impedances using a jumper. How is this done? I sometimes need to passively split a mic to two pres (location recording) and have been told the mics should see at least 5x impedance to meet their spec.

The specifications pages for all the modules are temporary place holders at this time. The C84 has a fixed input impedance of 1500 ohms. Two paralleled 1500 ohm loads is a 750 ohm load, which is exactly 5x the output impedance of a 150 ohm mic.
