Gain Pot Clicking

Just built two c84's one works great the other the gain pot is clicking when you turn it and at about the halfway point it stops passing signal. any ideas/tips?

Re-flow the solder joints at the rotary switch.
Make sure you have the right resistors installed around U3.
Measure the voltage at U3, pin 1 and U3, pin 7 as you increase gain. Compare to the voltages on the working C84.
Let us know what you find.

flowed solder into the switch and now everything is working great! thanks!
