Issue with R16

Postby xhavepatiencex » Mon Apr 14, 2008 12:48 pm

I put together my first A12 the other day, but my 4th SCA kit, all the other ones worked without a hitch. The build looks great I checked the polarity of everything, but when I get to the step of adjusting r16 to 0v I cant get that to happen. The voltage seems to jump again and r16 seems to have little effect. Anyone has ideas what could be going wrong.. maybe a bad opamp?

I imagine you've solved this by the time of this response, but I found that with R16, the readings are difficult to follow at first as they jump around alot, but as you zero in, they become more stable. Is this other peoples' experience?

I'm encountering the same problem. I can't get R16 lower than 3.6 and it seems very unresponsive. All the soldering appears solid. Anyone have any ideas on this?

Nevermind, looks to be a bum op amp. Phew. Better that than a screw up on my part :)
