Very hot U5 and no sound

Post questions or comments about the A12 here.

I'm confused. You say all the way at the top of the thread that "I've also noticed that if I take the op-amp off (sc10) U5 doesn't get warm". So if either op-amp is installed, U5 gets hot? And both op-amps work fine in the other module?

both amps work because if i put on the other a12 it's all fine. On the wrong a12 u5 gets warm only with amp installed

OK. With the op-amp removed, what voltage do you measure at U1, pin 1?

reopening the thread after years...

At U1 I can't mesure no voltage. I still think the problem is U5, it seems damaged

We'll need to see it. E-mail rma@seventhcircleaudio.com for return instructions.

I am experiencing almost identical problems with an A12 that's been functioning fine for years until this past week. Any chance as resurrecting this thread with what turned out to be the problem? Thanks.
