Output Transformer loose part

Postby Archmart » Mon May 28, 2007 10:35 pm

Hey Hey!

I'm in the middle of my first kit, an A12 and I notice that there's a loose piece of metal, 1 7/8" x 5/8", a millimeter or so thick with a hole in the middle. It's like one side of one of the layers of metal lamination.

I notice that both transformers (I've got one more yet to build) have the same extra piece.

Do I just discard it? I could place it and afix it with the same bolt that's holding the rest of it...

Thanks,
Archmart

It's an extra "I" lamination that you can use to level the transformer. Without it, the transformer will be slightly lopsided when you tighten the screws. No harm done if you leave it out.

Hey Hey!

Thanks. I thought I might use it for that, but it's nice to be reassured.
