A12 Output Volume Question

Does the A12 output volume not fully attenuate like the N72? I never noticed before until today that mine only cut the volume by a few dB. Is this the case? Is there a way to change it?

I thought there was a way to do this, but after looking at the schematic I realize I was mistaken. The design puts R24 (the trim pot) in the negative feedback path of U1.
