I know the A12 doesn't include opamp but the sc25 can be purchase on this web site to fit in.
I wonder if the j99 full kit includes an opamp or not and if not is there any solution for it from seven circle as i'd like to order one time and to get all components at once...
what about in/out transformers?
thanks a lot

J99 uses two op amps, they're NOT included in the kit, and you probably want to use 990C devices from John Hardy.

They are $50 each last time I ordered...and that's a BARGAIN for arguably the best op-amp ever made and offered commercially. They sound great in John Hardy's M1 and Dual...and they sound great in Tim's J99. For the closest thing to transparent as you'll ever get without losing that euphonic thing you get from transformers the J99s are my "go to" pre nowadays. They are usually the first thing I try unless I want some extra character...and often they're the only thing I try.

Category 5 has that exactly right. I've got two J99, with Hardy 990C, Lundahl and Jensen transformers, and they're terrific.

are the Lundahl and Jensen transformers included in the full kit?

No, the current kits are using different transformers - I built mine before 7th Circle was offering full J99 kits, using the minimal kit, and sourcing the other parts myself. Tim has stated that the transformers he now supplies perform just as well, I believe him.

The J99KF includes a Lundahl 1538XL and a CineMag CMOB-2H. The CineMag part is functionally equivalent to the Jensen JT-11-DMPC used on the first rev of the J99 board.
