SC99 vs. JH 990c

Hi all,
I'm planning on building a set of J99's sometime in the near future. I'm wondering whether there is a noticeable difference between these two opamps in terms of performance and sound. Is the John Hardy 990c better enough to justify what I hear are sometimes very long wait times? Thanks.
