Taking the plunge...

Postby Nineteen Billion » Sun Feb 25, 2007 3:50 pm

Alright, I just sent payment for two N72s and two C84s (with chassis, harness, psu). That's the combined payment from two recording gigs and the resale of an old set of eight preamps.

I'm just so excited I had to type it.

It was that TapeOp review, so damn effusive and glowing that I had to do it for myself.

So, there is a 4-6 week lag in chassis right now. Does that mean I'm going to have to wait that long for everything? Is it all one shipment?

did you order the assembled chassis or the kit? the kit seems to be instock. i ordered the kit and all i had to do was install some ground wire, put in the led and switch, etc. Not at all that hard compared to the kits them selfs. Screwing in the ground wire was the hardest part just do to the location of the nut.

No wait on chassis or power supplies right now.

Chalk it up to excitement: my nervous eyes mistook the assembled unit's 4-6 week lead time for that of the kit (which has none).

That is to say, I ordered kits for everything, not assembled units.

Thanks Nineteen!

That site and resume is a few years out of date. Business has been good and i've been kicking around a flash book idea, so no need maintain it. Maybe Tim will exchange some kits for some flash work ;)

I have ideas Tim! Email me :D

Do you flash?

Wow, with your background you could make this site a jaw-dropper (not that the content doesn't already please me infinitely).

No, I don't Flash. My brother is a web designer and is all about Flash. He was at Flash Forward in Austin. I've picked up bits and pieces of info from him; he tends to keep me in the know about the cutting edge of things.

I'm mostly busy with I-IV-V chords and self-portraits in oil...

heheh, that's awesome.

I'm in dallas at IMC2 and we all went to flash forward in austin as well. it was awesome to be in those rooms swelling with that amount of massive talent from all over the world. Its rare that i feel humbled but by the end i had a new perspective.

you should throw a site together with some of your oils. i'd like to check it out.

He said the same thing, very humbling (and that's not something you'll hear him say often).

The site is actually in the works now. It will probably be pretty simple, because I'll have to manage so much content (pictures, audio, text), while still keeping time to work on music/art and go to [moan] school.
