Information about suggested solder

Postby Sonic Idiot » Wed Jul 19, 2006 8:04 pm

I need to know more specifics about how and where to procure 'eutectic 63/37 rosin core, 0.25"' type solder.

Should is be lead free, or not? Is there a difference?
Can I have a link to where I can purchase solder to this exact spec?

I haven't found on this forum links to sales of this exact spec. I think that would be valuable here.

Thanks so much. This whole company, SCA, is doing a superb job. I'm elated about the prospect of completing the kit to the best of my ability. Thanks, SCA.

Most electronics supply places will have it. My local shop carries .031" dia. but .025" is special order. I have used the .031" 63/37 Kester eutetic and it works fine.
