I heard over in the TapeOp message board that Tim was working on a DI. Is this true? Anyone know when it will be available? Will it be self enclosed or is it designed to fit in the 8 space chassis?

The next module will be an active, all-discrete, class-A DI with a transformer-coupled output circuit. It will be completely compatible with the CH01 and PS03. There will be no stand-alone chassis. Look for it in a few months.

Will the DI have a pad built in? I would like switchable -10db, maybe also -20db, then use my pres for the make-up gain. That way I could choose how much flavour (dependant on the preamp) I gave to my signal. Can we get any more sneaky info on the DI, Tim?
