Any "SCA approved" 3rd Party assemblers?

Postby agershon » Thu Dec 20, 2012 1:42 pm

I don't have the tools, talent, or, most importantly, time to build these kits myself. But even at the assembled price, I still think they are the best value on the market. I hope to get started with 2xA12b and 2xN72.

I'm wondering if there are any "Tim-approved" folks who assemble these kits for less. $100 for assembly of the A12 isn't bad, but $150 for the N72 starts to get uncomfortable.

There's a guy on eBay username "codeman015" who does assembly for slightly less.

I think Tim's assembled prices are fair considering 2-3 hours of labor. Just wondering if there are any other options.

Thanks!
Adam.

Just FYI for the group ... I found a thread on Gearslutz where Tim says:

"And while we don't endorse any particular third party assembler and would rather encourage you to invest in your own skills, I can tell you that we've sold a lot of kits to Codeman015 and have had no complaints."

His eBay rep is 100%. I'll post back one kits are received with a review :)

Here's the thread for reference:

I have a buddy who has been very happy with Codeman15.

Personally, he couldn't fix a problem I had with an N72 that Tim was able to diagnose (bad transformer) and fix. That said, Codeman was very nice about it and didn't charge me.

Thanks Todzilla. Yea I ended up having Codeman (Cory) build my chassis and two N72s. Very happy with his service.
