Can someone please explain the difference between these two options? Can you drive the pre harder with the full fader option? Thanks.

Only the N72 and T15 can be configured so the trim control acts as a full fader. This allows gain settings that will drive the first stage into clipping, which can sometimes be exploited to good effect on some sources and in some contexts.
