microphone

How can I connect a microphone to my home theater receiver to make announcements? I have a standard home theater receiver and would like to connect a wireless microphone to it so I can use the receiver and speakers instead of using a dedicated PA system or bullhorn.

Most wireless mic receivers have a mic. and line level output. You can take the line level output and connect it to an aux. input on your receiver. You'll probably need a 1/4" to RCA cable and an RCA to RCA splitter to connect to both R and L inputs so both spkrs will have mic. audio. Be careful and ready for feedback problems.
