This is my first post on this forum, and all because of this thread! I've been inspired! I just ordered a piece of purpleheart that I will be turning into a faceplate, and may end up screen printing all the markings on the front.

Please post some pics if anyone else ends up doing a custom job themselves too!

Hey guys any updates on your custom faceplate designs?

---

What's the best way to do the text for a faceplate?

Any references online that might help me understand the process a bit more?

The easiest thing for customizing the face of the sca chassis is to simply head over to your nearest local company that makes road/highway signs in your area. Ask them what format they need for the graphics, design it, and have them print it on the same metal sticker material as they use for road signs (you can get reflective and non reflective). Take the faceplate to them to apply the sticker for you, and voila.
