Diagonal cutters?

Postby boneglove » Tue Jan 15, 2008 10:32 am

I see flush cut, semi flush cut and regular. I have a pair of flush cut excelite 5.00 red handles. Can anyone please explain these. I guess I should have all of them but which ones do I really need for these projects? What is used to cut leads from board most importanat I think. Thanks to all that help and answer questions here. TIA, Mark.

You can use any of them as long as you're careful. Flush cutters make it easy to trim too close to the board. You want to snip the lead right at the top of the solder fillet. My favorite is the Klein D219-4C which has a slim head and semi-flush blades.
