Would it hurt if I ran a balanced Line/mic through this? I'm considering buying one, and would use this for both guitars and mics. I'm just want a more streamlined workspace and this would eliminate external DI boxes, cables etc. Otherwise I'll keep my DI boxes and get a patchbay-although that would be massive overkill!

The D11 has a very high-impedance, unbalanced input. Connecting a balanced input to it probably won't damage anything, but you'll completely defeat the point of the balanced connection. Definitely not recommended.
