Unable to get reading on J3 pins

Postby Genius Gone Insane » Sun May 23, 2010 5:25 pm

I am on step 28 of the T15. When I use my DMM to make resistance measurements on pins 1 and 2 as well as 3 and 2, my DMM reads "1". It looks like it is not passing a signal. I get a signal if I measure pin 1 to D9 (black side) and I also get a signal if I measure pin 2 to D9 (colored stripe). D9 reads properly on my DMM.

My DMM's resistance scale goes from 200 to 2000k ohms.

I am a novice at this but I think I've doublechecked everything. Am I not supposed to be getting a signal here? Thanks

After doing some searching on this forum, I decided to power up my T15. I did a quick A/B test on some quiet vocals and holy crap this sh!ts all over my Digi 001 pres. I played back the two tracks simultaneously and WOW the T15 was much nicer! I lowered the volume of the T15 track well below the 001 and the T15 was still way more clear. Awesome.

yea, I'm with you. I can't get a reading either and am afraid to fire it up without the a confirmation.
Was it okay after all? Maybe my multimeter sucks..Let me know

^ Hey yeah interestingly enough on my first T15 I got no reading but on my second I did get a reading. Anyway, both work great. I think you're just checking to make sure that if you get a reading, it's not <100 ohms.

Try switching which of the DMM probes you use. I had the same problem with it reading "1", and by chance I switched the black and red probe to a different hand, and remeasured the same two pins.
