first of all, let me preface this that I have really no building skills at all - I bought from a gearslutz member and it had this problem. just wondering if it would be a simple fix or not - has constant hiss and the level is low.

Go through the final test procedure in the assembly instructions and make sure the voltages are good. Let us know what you find.
