Noise on A12 at 11

A12 sounds great. However, I cranked the gain to 11 and got a pop, followed by a 16 khz squeal and then white noise. Clicking it to 12 caused all of this to disappear.
No problems with the N72. These sound great!

I would double check your soldering work around the gain switch and the resistors associated with the gain switch.

This is with a mic plugged in? And you're positive you have all the resistors and ceramic capacitors in the right places? If reflowing the solder joints doesn't improve things, try de-fluxing the circuit board.
