My A12 is up and running!

My A12 is working, and although I've only recorded a couple vocal snippets so far, it sounds nice to me. This was a good learning experience and proof that a complete electronics newbie can build these kits, or at least the A12. Thanks everyone for your help.

I think I'm going to wait for the C84 for my next kit.

I finished mine last week but today was the first session that I got to use them. I compared them to the lunchbox 512a's that we have at the studio and guess what? It sounds exactly like an API with a bit cleaner top end. My only complaint...I would REALLY like to have a pad for these guys. Most impressive moment...when I used one of the A12's for an old Coles ribbon mic on fiddle and I only have to turn the gain up to 6 or 7. That means there was about 25 dB of gain left. INCREDIBLE!!
