Preamp Repair

Got an ADM 2780 preamp that I recently damaged and I was wondering if you might be able to help me perform a troubleshoot/reapair?
The preamp outputs a loud oscillating sound [I have a sample]. Recently plugged the output [transformer coupled] into a mixing board that I was unaware had phantom power. Im assuming I fried something, not sure what I might have damaged or what the extent of the repairs might be [or if I should bother].
Ive always had an interest in building preamps so maybe this is the thing to get me going in that direction.
