Future C33 Discrete JFET Mic Preamp

Tim can you tell us a little bit about this model? I have 4 N72's and I am going to be doing some gigs recording some classical chamber music and was considering builiding some J99's for this application. I'm looking for something clean and neutral. These are to be real audiophile type recordings. A stereo mic in a nice room.Will the C33's be more suited for this type of job? If so maybe I could get by with the N72's until they are ready. What are the differences between them and the J99's?

The C33s should be very nearly as "hi-fi" as the J99, and may cost less to build. They're still several months away, however. Have a look at the other C33 thread for a bit more information on the circuit.
