Hi Andy,
My B16 is in for service for a low output issue.
However, the heatsink at the edge of the board can easily short out on the chassis. That happened to me and the power supply shut down momentarily probably to protect itself. Something like this also happened to someone else on the forum. what I did is glue a piece of insulating paper onto the section of the chassis where the Voltage regulator can risk touching. There is enough room for the heatsinks, you just have to check everything out before you power it up for the first time. Make sure the Regulator with the heatsink is not bumping into the chassis inadvertently or you very well can get a short. I have to wonder it that event is the reason that the output on my B16 was extremely low right from the start. Even with the output adjustment trimpot way up the output never came close.
Good luck. I can't wait to get mine back from service.
Phil
First things first.
