Harmonic distortion

Postby PJD3 » Sun Jun 17, 2012 6:03 am

Is there a way to "hear" the increase or decrease in the harmonic distortion in the B16 and make an adjustment that way? I admit, I have a very hard time with computers and getting programs and soundcards up and running. I do have access to good signal generators and good playback amps/monitors, however. Is there a particular signal type (sin/square/sawtooth) that would more apparantly render harmonic distortion than the others? , enough to audibly hear it and try to minimize it that way? I just thought that if the adjustment is to minimize the HD for improved audio, then isn't there some signal that would better allow percieving it audibly? I know this wouldnt be anywhere close to actual measurement but, can it be improved this way? I'd really like to start using my fully built B16.

Thank you,
Phil
